IAAO Standards – What CADs Need to Know

This one-day workshop is designed to help participants understand IAAO standards in four important areas:
• Standard on Mass Appraisal of Real Property (Approved July 2017)
• Standard on Ratio Studies (Approved April 2013)
• Standard on Verification and Adjustment of Sales (Approved November 2010)
• Standard on Assessment Appeal (Approved July 2016)
• Standard on Automated Valuation Models (AVMs) (approved July 2018)
IAAO assessment standards represent a consensus in the assessing profession. The objective of IAAO standards is to provide a systematic means by which assessing officers can improve and standardize the operation of their offices.

Valuation of Residential Land

This one-day workshop will provide some guidance and suggestions on the process of valuing vacant residential land. Information from various areas of the U.S. will be used to help establish some processes and determination of various influence factors. EXCEL spreadsheets will be used to help build a database of sales and use in calculating influence factors.
