Description:

These four-day reviews are designed for individuals working toward the Registered Professional Appraiser (RPA) designation. Students attending should be aware that this is a review session, not primary instruction. For in-person, A PDF of materials will be emailed prior to class as well as printed copies provided at check-in on Day 1. For virtual, materials will be emailed.

Retaking the TAAD RPA Review Course

If you have already taken a review course with TAAD, but did not pass the RPA exam, you may retake the review course the next time TAAD offers it at a discounted cost of $150.

RPA Exams

After March 1, 2010, the only way to complete a Property Tax Professional required state examination is at one of seventeen PSI testing centers located throughout the state.

Participants are responsible for setting up a test date with PSI (TDLR’s third-party vendor for testing services). Once the candidate has received an eligibility postcard from PSI, the exam can be scheduled online at PSIexams.com. To view available testing dates, scroll to the bottom of the PSI home page and select “Check Available Appointment Dates Before You Register.” If it appears no testing dates are available, we would encourage the candidate to try calling PSI directly to request that a seat be opened up.

Prior to taking any TDLR examination, TAAD recommends reviewing the candidate information bulletin offered by TDLR. Pages 8 and 9 list the courses to complete before taking the level III and level IV exams.  It is also included in the RPA Review Course manuals.

The virtual review class is offered over the course of five days to allow study time in-between sessions. A PDF of class materials, as well as the Zoom link, will be emailed prior to class.
