Effective January 1, 2022, TAAD will send your class materials by PDF for you to print and bring to class. For TAAD to print and bring your copy to class, cost is $15; notice required at least 7 days prior to class. If you forget yours, there will be a $50 nonrefundable fee for an on-site duplicate copy.

  • The Texas Property Tax Glossary © 2018 can be used as a tool to aid students enrolled in courses to meet TDLR certification requirements. The glossary contains hundreds of words and phrases used in all of the education courses required for certification as a Registered Professional Appraisal, Registered Tax Assessor and/or a Registered Tax Collector. You can purchase this directly from TAAD, by checking the appropriate box on your State Course Registration Form. $20.
  • The Texas Property Tax System © 2011 (57 pages; produced by The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M; written by Gilliland, Jordan, Trotter, Bickham, Whitmore, Wiehe & Cover; publication number 1192) Formerly this publication was required for use with Course 1. Effective in 2004, its use is optional. It is available on The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M’s website.
  • The Mass Appraisal of Real Property (MARP) is a tool for mass appraisers that updates the mass appraisal chapters in Administration. If you are using Automated Valuation Models, or mass appraisal, the principles developed in this textbook are very helpful. You can obtain it directly from IAAO.
